General Terms & Agreements
We accept returns under the following terms and conditions:
- All returns must be pre-approved and assigned a RETURN MERCHANDICE AUTHORIZATION (RMA) NUMBER >>Here before you ship the products to us. This ensures and expedites any appropriate credits and/or exchanges.
- Except for error on our part, ALL shipping costs for returns are the responsibility of the customer.
- Except for error on our part or damage in shipping, all returns will be assessed a 10% per item restocking fee.
- Computer Software: Computer software is returnable only in the case of damage or if the seal on the envelope containing the software has not been broken. Evidence of tampering with this seal will result in refusal of your return and the software will be returned to you at your expense.
- All return items must be unblemished, with no nicks, dents, gouges, scrapes, and/or scratches. Any damaged returns may be assessed a 10% fee (in addition to any applicable re-stocking fee).
- Allow 2 weeks for refunds from returns. Some banks can take up to one full billing cycle to post your credit. Consult your bank’s policies for more information. Sorry, we cannot send acknowledgement of each return/refund.
- It is the customer’s responsibility to know and understand these return policies as they relate to your purchase.
- Non-returnable Items: Custom made mallets, special oder patterns, custom paint jobs, sheet music, Cd’s
Specific Guarantees
INSTRUMENT 10 day trial/satisfaction Money Back Guarantee
A 100% refund of purchase price will be given if not completely satisfied with any steel drum instrument. The customer must obtain a Return
Authorization Number from STEEL DRUM EXPRESS before returning any merchandise. The Instrument must be shipped back to us within 10 days of
the receipt of the instrument. All shipping charges are the responsibility of the customer. No Return Authorization number associated with this
10 day trial will be issued for any instrument that has been in the possession of the customer for more than the 10 day trial period. We will refuse
any package without our Return Authorization number properly displayed on it. All returns must be in original packaging, in new condition and undamaged.
If no damage is found and the instrument was received within 10 days of the issuances of the Return Authorization Number your refund will be processed
with in 2 weeks. Instruments received after the 10 day shipping grace period will be subject to a minimum 10% late fee.
Guarantee Buy Back Plan
If you want to return an instrument on our Guarantee by Back plan here is how that works. Take the sale price of the instrument multiply it by .05 (5%)
this is the monthly fee charged for each month you have the instrument, there is 3 month minimum. Here is an example of how it would work. The sale price
of the instrument was $991.71, the monthly fee would be 5% or $49.59 the customer kept the instrument for 6 months; 6 x $49.59 or $297.54 your refund would
be $991.71 less ($297.54) for a total refund of $694.17. This works like a reverse rental, the charge is basically the same as if you rented it for that
time. Next contact us for a Return Authorization Number and at that time we will let you know what your anticipated refund will be (see above). All
shipping charges are the responsibility of the customer. Upon receipt of the instrument we will inspect it for any unusual wear and or damage. If no
damage is found and the instrument was received within 10 days of the issued Return Authorization Number your refund will be processed and refunded to you
by your original payment method within 2 weeks. Instruments received after the 10 day grace period will be subject to recalculation of the refund.
